  • Smart RTU hardware review

    i. Examine the new RTU model range and the expansion modules available.

    ii. Learn how to successfully add expansion modules.

    iii. Review the possible upgrade paths from 3xx hardware to 47x hardware.

    iv. Find out about the many communications ports and their function.

    v. Learn about how analog scaling and alarming can be done without programming.

  • New RemoteConnect software review

    i. Install the software on your own computer and understand how to navigate around and setup communications.

    ii. Learn how to use the Help system to aid in moving from Telepace and Workbench and access online self paced training videos.

    iii. Build an RTU configuration and learn about the new tag based programming.

    iv. Create new tags for use in the logic and assign Modbus and DNP3 addresses.

    v. Step by step build programs using the new languages in the RTU and learn how to use the logic simulator to test code.

    vi. Learn how to use the built in tools to maintain the RTU and troubleshoot.

    vii. Perform online modifications of running programs and learn how to work with a running application.

    viii. Configure Realflo flow runs and make flow measurement available to logic.

    ix. Configure Modbus polling of external devices using configuration and not programming.

    x. Learn how to use the new data logging features to help with troubleshooting.
